At Kausani the mountains rise so dramatically as if to reach the heavens. In fact not just Kausani the entire Kumaon Hills have been known for their idyllic beauty with the huge mountains silhouetted against the sky. Kausani was originally called Valna. It offers the magic of the deep rhododendron forests and the majestic mountains.
Kausani the birthplace of the famed poet Sumitra Nandan Pant is often referred to as the 'Switzerland of India' owing to its natural bounty. Kausani stands high at an altitude of 1890 m above sea level.
It Offers a spectacular 240 km-wide panoramic view of Himalayan peaks like Trisul, Nanda Kot and Panchchuli; and a stunning view of the Baijnath valley at an altitude of 3000 feet to Trishul at 25662 feet - all from the same spot! The area is rich in nature, from oak forests to flaming rhododendron bushes and forests teeming with bird and animal life.
It's one of the best places you can visit, the food is very good and the restaurant staff is very very helful. The activity room and reading hall add a very pleasant addition. Overall full worth of money. The books on himalayas and kumaon are a must read in the hall.
Very nice place…I loved the buransh. The food and service was awesome…I would give 5 star to food and the Himalaya views was great…I would definitely visit the place again…the went of the place was very friendly….😊👍🏻
Paradise for nature lovers….Hills in the monsoon weather shows its true beauty, from a beautiful view of mountain range- Trishul, Nanda Devi, and the mighty Panchachuli peaks to beautiful monsoon clouds engulfing the hotel. You can enjoy all this even more if you stay in a beautiful and comfortable place like “The Buransh”. We were lucky to be hosted by Mr. Kapoor and his team. We stayed there for 5 days and not even once I felt that I am in a hotel. Home away from home is the best way to describe it. There is so much of personal space that we didn’t have to worry about Covid at all. Entire staff is involved in every aspect of the services they offer. Food was delicious, rooms were perfect, ample parking, huge garden, fruit orchards, home grown vegetables, beautiful & serene
This place has our heart the owner and staff are friendly and cooperative .they have taken care of our food preferences as we have kids with us one of us is jain . The food is lip smacking and quantities are more than sufficient The rooms are properly sanitized and well cleaned . The view of Himalaya beauty is the best from here . The owners mr threesh kapoor and Anita mam lives here and take care of every guest as their family. members and guide us help us when ever we ask They have small library and play area for kids and adults which is very engaging when you don’t feel to go out for treak All and all one of our best stay with best people and staff
Each room has a large window with a beautiful view of the Himalayas. The hotel is designed quite well with lovely wood designs and architecture. The best part of this place are the hotel owners ~ they are friendly and helpful; we very much enjoyed getting to know them. Bring your camera ~ there is gorgeous scenery around the hotel. You will be able to get lots of pics of the Himalayan mountain range and hills and valleys. Many places for nice walks and hikes. When the main cook was on staff, the food was very tasty and there were many options for food. Much of the fruit and vegetables are grown on the property, so they taste fresh and natural. Due to COVID, there were less staff than normal. With the staff that they had, the hotel kept up with cleaning as regularly as
Amidst all the chaos in ncr, my quest to spend some quality time with nature in a safe and looked after environment was more than taken care of at Buransh. The lovely orchards, , the clean air, hide n seek weather, the mountain view rooms and the everyday not to miss story scripted by the cirrus clouds was stuff dreams are made of , perhaps. To top it The Buransh has the most warm hosts mr and ms kapoor. Mr Threesh kapoor is the lifeline of Buransh personally inspecting every little detail one can think of , from food to travel itinerary of his guests. One feels looked after well. A celebrated photographer , an experienced banker and a farmer by choice topping it up with his charm as a hotelier. A must visit , my go to jakranda place, the Buransh at Kausani.
Amid so much chaos and lockdown in Delhi NCR due to sudden spike in Covid cases in April, my search for a remote, isolated, safer yet comfortable place in the hills landed me at The Buransh Kausani. A close friend recommended it who knew the owner Threesh Kapoor. My family of four stayed at The Buransh for 1 month and 7 days. It was one of the best time I spent with my family and nature in a very comfortable and safe environment. The location is awesome, well connected yet nestled between forests, orchard, animals, fields and overlooking majestic Himalayas. The full glass windows in the bedrooms offer an outstanding view of wide and clear range of Himalayan peaks making every morning refreshing and delightful. This place offers one of the best views of Uttarakhand Himalayas.
We were on a road trip in uttarkhand and the buransh was suggested by the front office staff at Sterling nainital. We did not read reviews but was confident that it's worth by the way we were told about the place. It's amazing, is short of what we want to express. Mr Threesh Kapoor and Mrs Anita Kapoor are superb hosts . While leaving the place we felt a lump in our throat. Miss you Mrs Kapoor and on your suggestion chaukori and patal bhubneswar were great. Food , service , staff, room, view are commonplace but fond memories and relationships are a treasure for a life time. Thank you Mr Threesh Kapoor for the invitation to your sideshow on himalayan landscape. It was an experience of a life time. Thank you Mr Ganesh for your service.
Spent five nights and six days and didn't wish to leave! Was there for the 7th Himalayan Landscape Photography Workshop- mentored by top Photographers from across India, including Mr Threesh Kapoor CEO of The Buransh! Received excellent tips on Photography from "masters!" Mr and Mrs Kapoor went out of their way to make our stay and nearby excursions comfortable! The service, food quality, variety, local flavours and, attention to detail was beyond par! Good willing, will be visiting and staying here again and again! The resort compares to the best in class!
