At Kausani the mountains rise so dramatically as if to reach the heavens. In fact not just Kausani the entire Kumaon Hills have been known for their idyllic beauty with the huge mountains silhouetted against the sky. Kausani was originally called Valna. It offers the magic of the deep rhododendron forests and the majestic mountains.
Kausani the birthplace of the famed poet Sumitra Nandan Pant is often referred to as the 'Switzerland of India' owing to its natural bounty. Kausani stands high at an altitude of 1890 m above sea level.
It Offers a spectacular 240 km-wide panoramic view of Himalayan peaks like Trisul, Nanda Kot and Panchchuli; and a stunning view of the Baijnath valley at an altitude of 3000 feet to Trishul at 25662 feet - all from the same spot! The area is rich in nature, from oak forests to flaming rhododendron bushes and forests teeming with bird and animal life.
The buransh is a beautiful property in Kausani. It was recommended to me by one of my friend and i stayed there for 3 nights with my family , it was a very relaxing stay. The property is beautiful, rooms have big glass windows of size of the wall itself and we could see the himalayan range right from our bed. Was mesmerized with the view of famous Trishul parvat. The staff of Buransh was very courteous and helpful. We loved the food , the art gallery /indoor games area. My 5 year daughter too loved the stay and still talks about Threesh Sir (owner of the resort) with whom she intercated a lot. He is a wonderful host. Would definitely stay in Buransh the next time we stay here.
Enjoyed our stay at the Buransh very much. We had a nice clean room with a beautiful view, unfortunately because of the Smokey haze we did not get to see the snow covered peaks. We enjoyed a nice chat with the owners Mr and Mrs Kapoor who stay there and take personal interest in the running of the property. Will definitely like to stay at the Buransh next time for a longer stay.

Absolutely loved our 3 night stay in this gorgeous place , It is so well maintained by its dedicated staff and polite and charming owner Mr, Kapoor . It was one of my best trip s to hills in India . Staff was extremely courteous and even took care of our old .frail beagle . Yes , the resort is pet friendly . Food was delicious and variety was diverse . Mornings presented with melodious bird song and from our room 's windows , we could catch a glimpse of simple ,kumaoni rural life as people went about their daily chores ..
The Buransh - this hotel will make you pleased to the core. the owner Mr Kapoor is a gentleman always present at the hotel to make sure all customers get the best service We visited in the 1st week of May as an escape to mumbai heat. kausani offers good clam and pleasant weather throughout (avoid June - Aug summer time) The hotel is situated in a valley and offers beautiful views from most of the rooms. All staff at the hotel are courteous and the services are really prompt
Excellent Hotel ...Relaxing point...Hospitality by Mr.Kapoor owner of the Hotel. Food quality is good and awesome . Staff ia good , rooms are neat and clean. Around 3 mns away from kausani. Himalaya view is added advantage. Visit and enjoy.
When you checkin, you will be greeted by the owner of the Hotel. He is a wonderful person and he has been a great photographer. The view from the rooms is mesmerising. They will provide everything a person needs. They even have a library, if a person wishes to read the books. Good and hygienic food, is all what a family wants. They even provide hot rotis and puris and other things as in home. The owner eats with the guests. Overall wonderful experience and thanks to BURANSH.
Besides glorious views of the valley and the sunrise and sunsets, what I really liked about The Buransh is the positive vibe and a space to listen to the silence within. The place has a zone of silence all around. Everything from personal attention by Mr Threesh Kapoor to simple yet delectable food served by a courteous staff to the large windows to bring in the light and energy, goes on to create the vibe that I am taking about. To me it was truly energizing and thus much more than just a getaway. Will go there again.
I visited Kausani and booked The Buransh. I didn't know much about Kausani or the hotel but was awestruck by the beauty of the place and the amazing property. Mr. Kapur, the owner of the property is one of the best hosts ever. He makes everyone feel at home. One must see all the photos he's taken over the years. He's a true Himalaya lover. You can take nature walks inside the property. The food is simple but amazing. The staff is very humble and co-operative. The view from the room is mesmerizing. Anyone visiting Kausani must stay at The Bruansh at least once.
